High Salary Guards

Players costing over $8,333

Stephen Curry (vs TOR – $11,600): Needs 47.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.75 fantasy points against Toronto. Will the Raptors throw a tank defense out at Curry? If the Warriors don’t have any other reliable options, yes, they will. But I suspect the Warriors will have a reliable option or two. And as long as Klay and Cousins play, this just feels like a big Steph Curry game. They’ll be back in Oracle and feeling good after Game 2. It’s a gut feeling but it’s also never wrong to go with Steph Curry. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kyle Lowry (at GS – $7,600): Needs 31.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.75 fantasy points against Golden State. Lowry’s shooting has to come around and some point, right? I’m starting to get pretty worried about him and even though I like his game overall, there are so many red flags around him right now. His salary isn’t bad and he makes for a solid UTIL cost because he’s a smart player who should figure it out. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Klay Thompson (vs TOR – $8,400): Needs 36.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.25 fantasy points against Toronto. Klay Thompson is banged up and that is worrying. He was playing great in Game 2 before the injury but you never know how a guy is going to react to an injury, especially once he gets on the court. That will hurt his reliability but his ceiling remains high because he’s Klay. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
