4. Todd Frazier

The Phillies have a gaping need at third base. They rank 27th in wOBA from the third base position in the MLB. A lot of that is due to the struggles of Maikel Franco, and Scott Kingery is doing what he can to fill the void, but at the end of the day they need a bona fide third baseman,

Todd Frazier has been a high-level third baseman in the MLB for a long time, and despite struggling when initially returning from injury this year, he has been absolutely red hot over the last two weeks for the New York Mets. During this time period, Frazier has a .398 wOBA and .929 OPS. This is likely sustainable because it is due to a change in approach as opposed to just getting lucky. Frazier is now swinging at good pitches and laying off of bad pitches.

This change is something that the Phillies can make sure to emphasize with him to ensure his continued success with their roster. Similarly, Frazier will be surrounded by better bats than he is with the Mets so he should see more pitches to hit, allowing him to further improve the impact that he is having.

The Mets have a logjam of infielders as right now. Frazier, Jeff McNeil, and J.D. Davis are all vying for time at third base, so getting Frazier off of their roster would help them, even if it meant helping a division rival. The Phillies can definitely get Frazier from the Mets.
