4. Cleveland Browns

Stop me if you’ve heard this before but the Cleveland Browns are looking at an impressively talented player from the NFC East. It was only a few months ago that general manager John Dorsey stole Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. Will he show the same aggressiveness he’s had all offseason to go get a stalwart left tackle?

The Trent Wiliams news actually overshadowed a massive sub-plot entering the 2019 Cleveland Browns season. There are major concerns about the Browns talent in the trenches to protect Baker Mayfield and allow him to facilitate the weapons surrounding him. That was before the team released last year’s starting left tackle Desmond Harrison. Cleveland is now projecting to start Greg Robinson and Chris Hubbard at tackle.

Dorsey is not afraid to make splashy moves. Aside from Beckham, he’s brought in Olivier Vernon, Sheldon Richardson, and Kareem Hunt this offseason. The team is loaded with big names and many are pegging them for a long playoff run when the season gets going. Without a solid pair of offensive tackles that is a tough task.

Williams would be the perfect fit in Cleveland. He would get to play for a franchise that desperately wants to win and has the talent to do so. The offensive system is going to be diverse and not pigeon-hole him into a mauler like he has been seen at times in Washington. With Mayfield leading the way, Williams could go to work and form a heck of a duo with young Austin Corbett next to him on the left side of the offensive line.

More so than the Texans, the Browns should be looking at making a move for Williams. There is a massive hole at left tackle. There are high hopes around Cleveland for the first time in what feels like 30 years, and it would be a shame if the offensive line let them down.
