High Salary Guards

Players costing over $12,000

Steph Curry (at TOR – $16,500): Needs 58 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.8 fantasy points against Toronto. If Fred VanVleet is out for the Raptors that’s a big loss because he was excellent guarding Curry in Game 4. If VanVleet plays, then Curry is still Curry and the Warriors will have some kind of answer. The season is on the line and this is when Curry will have to step up in a big way. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kyle Lowry (vs GS – $12,000): Needs 42.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.9 fantasy points against Golden State. Lowry was back down in game 4 and that’s just how it goes for him. He’ll get other numbers but his scoring isn’t consistent and he might have to do a bit more in the game. A title on the line, in Toronto, and this would mean more to Lowry than it would anyone else on the Raptors roster. Expect him to deliver. I like him as a sneaky STAR pick. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (at TOR – $11,500): Needs 40.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.6 fantasy points against Toronto. Klay was solid in Game 4 but they do need more from him in Game 5 if they want to see a Game 6, and more specifically Game 6 Klay. He’s a PRO option at the very least and can jump up to a STAR depending on how you’re building your roster. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
