High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $8,333

Serge Ibaka (at GS – $5,400): Needs 19.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27 fantasy points against Toronto. I continue to love Ibaka, especially at this salary. He’s still not getting a ton of minutes but he’s getting enough minutes and he’s making an impact in those minutes. And his salary is fantastic given his production throughout this series. He’s a nice low-cost captain pick. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs TOR – $5,800): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.5 fantasy points against Toronto. Looney is banged up and Cousins looked as good as he’s looked in this series outside of Game 2. But we’ve seen this story with Cousins before. He looks healthy one game and that game takes a bigger toll than we can predict on him and he doesn’t look the same the next. And that’s the concern in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Marc Gasol (at GS – $7,000): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.5 fantasy points against Golden State. Once again, you just know what you’re getting from Gasol. He has a decent enough ceiling but it’s really about the reliability with him. He’s not going to hurt your team because he can do multiple things and he definitely gets the mintues. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
