High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

Fred VanVleet (at GS – $10,000): Needs 33.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.9 fantasy points against Golden State. VanVleet has been down in the past two games but we know what we’re getting from him. He’s going to get the minutes and opportunities. It’s just a matter of him making the most with those minutes and opportunities. I have a gut feeling about VanVleet in this game. It feels like he’s going to have a good outing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (vs TOR – $10,000): Needs 33.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.7 fantasy points against Toronto. Once again, you know what you’re getting with Iguodala. He’s going to get the minutes, he does a bit of everything, and he’s at a decent enough salary. I lean towards VanVleet for some reason in terms of ceiling but Iguodala is the more reliable option of the two. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Danny Green (at GS – $8,500): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 12 fantasy points against Golden State. You just know the drill with Green. The minutes are there because of his defense but he’s going to do more on offense to have a spot in your lineup. He’s a guy who will have to step up because he has more Spurs DNA than Raptors DNA, which is what Toronto needs right now. He’s a risk that could pay off in a big way. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.
