4. Cole Caufield

DOB: Jan. 2, 2001 (age 18)
Position: RW
Shoots: R
Team: USNTDP — USHL
Height: 5-foot-7
Weight: 157 pounds

Like the previous rating of Ryan Suzuki, this too might be read as a bit of an over-ranking of Caufield. But make no mistake: the 18-year-old is a special scoring talent, and he deserves to be regarded as such.

Caufield is the best natural goal getter of the 2019 class — and among the finest to emerge in the past few seasons. The winger’s skill with the puck, coupled with his devastating shot and expansive vision speaks for itself. His ceiling suggests that any selection below fifth or sixth would be the equivalent of a steal.
