Health was recently an issue for Alex Turcotte, but the 18-year-old’s reliability continues to be his top selling feature. A challenging threat for opponents — marked by qualities of speed, compete, creativity and expansiveness — ensures that there are little to no inconsistencies to Turcotte’s style of play, who does not shy away from edgy hockey.

Comparisons to the likes of some of the game’s most difficult two-way centers lie at the forefront of narratives surrounding Turcotte, who is projected to be picked between third and fifth overall at the 2019 draft.
