The Nebraska faithful have been about as patient as any fanbase can be as they wait for the Cornhuskers to rise again. Scott Frost hopefully will see his program take a big step in his second season at the helm.

Plenty of work is to be done, but Frost and his top recruiters will look to make a big impact as they work on the 2020 class. Four-star recruit Rico Powers Jr. is a talented wide receiver product that will be available in 2020.

Powers has yet to commit to a program but the Cornhuskers are believed to be one of the favorites to land him. At 6’2″ and 181 pounds, Powers has good size with plenty of room to fill out his frame.

He has solid speed and nothing that jumps off the page but his leaping ability is incredible along with his footwork. With a strong vertical and solid speed to match, Powers Jr. should be a fun target to throw to at the next level.

Powers is one of those wide receivers that will break a cornerback’s ankles and put them on the wrong end of a highlight because he’s incredibly shifty with his feet. Nebraska needs to nail their recruiting class and they already have the commitment from four-star receiver Zavier Betts. Adding another talented receiver to the core would give the Cornhuskers a bright future at the position.
