The Wisconsin Badgers make a living off having a great offensive line and a superstar running back to go with it. Therefore, they should be doing everything they can to land a physical running back like Kendall Milton.

It also comes with a great deal of irony that 247Sports compares Milton’s style to that of former Badgers running back Melvin Gordon. Gordon, of course, has gone on to become a prolific running back with the Los Angeles Chargers.

At 6’2″ and 220 pounds, Milton can handle a heavy workload. That’s something that Badgers aren’t afraid to do with their offense either.

In the Big Ten, having a running back that can pick up yards after contact is a big must. He’s not going to go down on the first hint of contact. Defenders have to work to bring a back like Milton down.

The Badgers have an offer out to Milton but don’t yet have a commit for next year’s class at the position. This is a bit of shooting for the stars given the other programs chasing after him, but that’s part of the nature of college football recruiting.
