Daily Fantasy Golf: FanDuel PGA – Top Tier Picks: ($11,000+)

Hideki Matsuyama – $11,500 – (Cash)

Daily Fantasy Golf is the perfect example of the old cliché “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Matsuyama is so close to winning again, as he seems to be in the mix every week. He currently has the longest running streak of consecutive cuts made, and on top of that, since his T-51 back at the Sony Open in January, he has finished no worse than T-33. As far as consistency goes, there is nobody better right now.

Matuyama has now played 13 events since that Sony Open in total. He has four top-tens, with his best finish being a T-3 at the Farmers Insurance Open, and he has finished inside the top-20 in eight of those 13 tournaments. This week, he comes into the inaugural 3M Open off of a T-13 last week in Detroit.

I hate writing up the same guys for consecutive weeks, but if you aren’t anchoring your cash teams with the Hideki-Bot I personally think you are doing it wrong, but to each their own. I know Brooks Koepka is arguably the best golfer in the world, but can you really trust him with your cash lineup in a non-major right now? I cannot. But out of good old FOMO, I will still will be playing old Brooksy in tournaments.

Bryson DeChambeau – $11,000 – (GPP)

Could it be possible DeChambeau is actually rebooted? It is certainly starting to look like he is. Bryson was struggling for quite the stretch through the Charles Schwab Challenge, but that is over a month ago now, and seems to be well in the rear-view mirror. After a week off since his T-8 at the Travelers Championship two weeks ago, DeChambeau will tee it up this week at the TPC Twin Cities for the 3M Open, looking to stay hot.

DeChambeau has also made three straight cuts now since the funk, and this price feels awfully low for this field. If you play on FanDuel regularly, you should notice the lack of depth of golfers over $10K this week right away. It is almost like if you do not play Koepka, you should just go as balanced as possible due to the lack of options at the top.

I am currently back and forth on my GPP approach at this point, and while I may just play a little bit of Koepka and a little Jason Day with more Bryson and even more Matsuyama, I am just not truly sure yet. For the sake of me giving you picks, I will with fear not recommend Koepka this week. Dustin Johnson and Koepka have burned us here for two weeks straight, and I am slowly talking myself into the 100% fade.

***Also Consider: Jason Day – $11,400***
