1 Carson Wentz will throw for 4,000 yards

It’s obvious that keeping Wentz healthy is the biggest key to success for the Eagles in 2019. Part o that will lead to a schematic change in Pederson’s offense. They will limit Wentz’s movement outside the pocket and give him more quick passes to lessen the pounding his body needs to take.

The other part of the adjustment will be up to Wentz. He simply has to be smarter. That doesn’t mean he can’t be aggressive, but it does mean he needs to learn how to slide upon occasion. This bold prediction is predicated on Wentz learning to correctly manage his risks on the field.

If Wentz can manage to avoid any sort of significant injury, he is in line for a big season. This offense is armed with a quality running back and dangerous wide receivers. Perhaps more importantly, the offensive line charged with setting up the Eagles attack is filled with above-average talent.

There’s no reason why Wentz can’t play at an MVP level with the kind of talent that will surround him. That puts 4,000 passing yards well within the realm of possibility. It’s even possible he could push past that number if he can play a full 16-game slate. Wentz is that good. This prediction all comes down to his health in 2019. The same can be said for the Eagles season.
