FanDuel MLB DFS Breakdown – 7/3/19: Rocky Mountain High

Cash: Daniel Murphy | COL | $3,400
$3,400 for a capable bat in Coors Field is flat-out too cheap and you can expect his ownership to be inflated even in a L/L matchup. Even without the platoon advantage, Murphy has posted a 0.407 wOBA against righties with a sub-20% strikeout rate. He’s lacked a bit of power (0.140 ISO), but he’s never been a massive HR threat.
His matchup, Wade Miley, has been dominant against lefties (0.239 wOBA, 0.111 ISO), but I’ll side with the Coors effect here and this is some decent chalk to chase in cash games.
GPP: Freddie Freeman | ATL | $4,400
The Braves are going to be a low-key offense in a phenomenal spot tonight against Nick Pivetta. Freeman, in particular, has posted a 0.430 wOBA and 0.283 ISO against righties with a 13.1% walk rate and a 54.9% hard contact rate.
Pivetta has gotten shelled by lefties this season, allowing a 0.372 wOBA and 0.267 ISO with a 46.7% hard contact rate. Lock and load on Freeman tonight and minimal ownership.
Honorable Mentions: Edwin Encarnacion, James McCann, Eric Thames
