FanDuel MLB – Top Second Basemen

Cash: Jose Altuve | HOU | $4,100

$4,100 is a reasonable price for a player like Altuve any given day, but in Coors Field? Sign me up. He’s been slow out of the gate this season (0.302 wOBA and 0.144 ISO vs RHP), but over the span of 2018-19, those numbers have normalized to a 0.357 wOBA and 0.143 ISO).

His matchup, Peter Lambert, has allowed a 0.339 wOBA to righties this season with a horrible 11.2% strikeout rate. The Astros should have their way tonight and Altuve should be a key cog.

GPP: Brock Holt | BOS | $2,600

Holt is cash viable but I view the Red Sox as the primary GPP stack away from Coors. He’s posted a 0.358 wOBA against righties this season and still only sits at $2,600 in the middle of a potent lineup.

What makes this an even more valuable play is the matchup. Reid-Foley has allowed a 0.433 wOBA and 0.211 ISO against lefties this season while struggling to miss bats (14.3% strikeout rate). You can’t go wrong with the price here and I plan to have plenty of Holt in all formats.

Honorable Mentions: Max Muncy, Ozzie Albies, Scooter Gennett
