FanDuel MLB – Top Shortstops

Cash: Trevor Story | COL | $4,000

Okay well it looks like we’re continuing the theme of under-priced players in elite spots tonight, as Trevor Story comes in at least $500 too cheap.

Against lefties this season, Story has posted a 0.382 wOBA and a 0.189 ISO with a 51.7% hard contact rate and brings an elite power/speed upside that not many can rival.

Wade Miley has been effective this season, but has still allowed a 40.2% hard-contact rate to righties. He’s also thrown his cutter 46.8% of the time against righties and Story crushes that pitch to the tune of a 0.436 wOBA and a 0.400 ISO.

GPP: Paul DeJong | STL | $3,300

With Mike Leake on the slate, you’d have thought we would be targeting the Cardinals more, but they fall behind a few other elite offenses tonight. DeJong, however, is priced at a point that’s hard to ignore.

He’s posted a 0.342 wOBA and 0.196 ISO against righties this season, but we should see an elevated ceiling against Mike Leake, who’s allowed a 0.345 wOBA and a 0.258 ISO to righties. On top of that, he’s only struck out 14.8% of RHBs.

Honorable Mentions: Alex Bregman (1B to Story’s 1A), Javier Baez, J.P. Crawford
