Fantasy Football – The Top 5 Tight Ends To Watch For (#2)

2. George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers)

It pains me that I can’t put George Kittle number one but it’s for good reason. The guy who will be sitting at number one has a potential “GOAT” Quarterback while George Kittle will be potentially playing with two different Quarterbacks this season. Kittle broke the receiving yards by a tight end moments after Travis Kelce broke it. Kittle also broke the San Francisco 49ers record for single season receptions by a tight end in that same game. The man just wants to break records and help the San Francisco 49ers get back to the post season once again.

George Kittle put up an amazing 1,377 receiving yards last season while playing with three different quarterbacks which is just speaks to the ceiling that exists with any stability at the QB position. He averaged 86 yards per game while finding the end-zone just 5 times. He caught 64% of what was thrown his way while averaging 5 receptions per game and 15 yards per receptions. Kittle doubled his targets and receptions while increasing in every category besides the catch percentage which he saw a 3% drop from the prior season.

With George Kittle being ready to go for another monstrous season, the San Francisco 49ers don’t know if Jimmy Garoppolo will be ready to kick the NFL season off but if not, Nick Mullens will step up once again if needed. Kittle will be heavily relied on once again this season though as the 49ers don’t have a true weapon at the wide receiver position.

Deebo Samuel will be the 49ers most hyped up wide receiver walking in to this season and if he pans out to be the bully that he was in his college career, Kittle will garner less attention. The main factor though to this entire 49ers season though will be injuries once again as their entire offense fought the bug last season. There are a lot of question marks that this 49ers offense will face but if they answer all of them, expect Kittle at the top once again.
