Fantasy Football – The Top 5 Tight Ends To Watch For (#1)

1. Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs)

When you mix Patrick MaGOAT and Travis Kelce together, you get greatness and that is two of the players that the Kansas City Chiefs have on their payroll. It worked out perfectly for Kelce last year who basically held the record for single season receiving yards for a tight end for a tad bit. Kelce and the Chiefs now return this NFL season looking to make it to the Super Bowl but with a couple players that are gone from last years squad. This could work out perfectly for Kelce by making him the number one tight end at the end of the season and potentially the most threatening weapon on offense in the NFL.

More from Fantasy Football

Travis Kelce has now put up three straight seasons of over a thousand receiving yards which made this past season his career best. He was able to put up 1,336 receiving yards while finding the end-zone 10 times. He averaged 83 yards and 6 receptions per game while catching 83% of what was thrown at him. He also averaged 13 yards per catch. Just like a couple other of the tight ends on this list, Kelce was able to improve in every stat category except for the catch percentage which he tied from last season.

The Kansas City Chiefs had a couple of changes during the course of last season with Kareem Hunt being released and suspended due to an off the field incident. That wasn’t the end of it though as Tyreke Hill wound up in a domestic violence and child abuse case that caused for him to be suspended during the off-season. That now leaves the Chiefs with Damien Williams and Carlos Hyde manning the backfield while Sammy Watkins will be leading the wide receiver core.

Don’t fear though because Patrick MaGOAT still has his tight end with Travis Kelce and that is all they will need probably. As long as Damien Williams and Carlos Hyde can make some plays happen out of the backfield, Kelce will be able to get some more looks off of play action and the duo of MaGOAT and Kelce will make all of the fantasy football dreams come true once again.
