15 year old Coco Gauff has taken the tennis world by storm with a stirring run to the fourth round at Wimbledon, and her epic performance has made the young American a Twitter star.

Many tennis fans have wondered where the next great star will come from after the Williams sisters hang up their rackets, and it looks like a new star is being born right in front of our eyes. 15 year old Cori “Coco” Gauff, who became the youngest woman to qualify for Wimbledon since 1968, has become the story of the fortnight by winning her way into the fourth round.

Gauff had an epic comeback today against Poland’s Polona Hercog, dropping the first set and trailing 5-3 in the second, saving two match points and rallying all the way back to win a tiebreak and force a third set. That set went back and forth, but Gauff emerged victorious in the end, winning 3-6, 7-6, 7-5 to earn a date with former world no. 1 Simona Halep on Monday.

Twitter instantly fell in love with Gauff during this match, and she was the top trending topic on the site this afternoon. Here are a few of the great tweets inspired by Gauff’s tremendous play at the All England Club, beginning with a look at Gauff’s dad reacting to her tiebreak victory in the second set.

Simply put, what Gauff has done here at Wimbledon is really remarkable. Gauff had to win three matches just to qualify for the tournament, then took down one of her heroes in the first round in Venus Williams.

A second round win set the stage for this matchup with Hercog, who dominated her for the first hour of the match, before launching an epic rally to come back and advance. Gauff is off until Manic Monday, when she gets a shot at Halep for a trip to the quarterfinals, but this win today marked the birth of a new sports star.
