Fantasy Football players to avoid: Le’Veon Bell

Players with similar ADP that id rather have include Davante Adams, Michael Thomas, and Joe Mixon.

Bell has way too many “risk factors” for me to invest a first round pick on him in 2019. Think of it like this, Bell is going from an elite Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line to an average New York Jets Offensive line. On top of that, he is going from future Hall-of-Famer Ben Roethlisberger to 2nd year Quarterback Sam Darnold.

We also can’t ignore that we haven’t seen Bell play since 2017 due to him sitting out the entire 2018 season. The only pro is that he should still be a workhorse like he was in Pittsburgh, but he may have a tougher time with a worse offensive line and QB.

The most important thing to discuss is the patient style that Bell possesses. It’s highly doubtful that he will be able to run as patient with a worse offensive line, which ultimately could create havoc for Bell. Lastly, he and new head coach Adam Gase already aren’t the best of friends after Gase earlier this off-season said that he wasn’t on board with paying a running back big money in free agency.

Like I said at the beginning of the Bell breakdown, you should take zero risks when selecting a player in the first round! Now we get to check out the 2nd player to avoid in 2019, which also happens to be a running back!
