Fantasy Football Question 5-Submitted by Preston Olson: If rookie WR’s usually never pan our during their rookie season, why do all the current rookie WR’s have such high ADP’s?

Answer: I think the people valuing the rookie WR’s high this year like N’Keal Harry, D.K. Metcalf, Mecole Hardman, aren’t all that crazy. Looking at those players situations, Harry should get targets with Rob Gronkowksi retired plus the status of Josh Gordon is up in the air. Looking at Metcalf, he walks into a Seattle Seahawks offense with a retired Doug Baldwin, and the only player really guaranteed targets is Tyler Lockett. Mecole Hardman has a ton of upside if Tyreek Hill gets a 6+ game suspension. Another reason why 2019 rookie WR’s are being valued high is because of how good the 2018 rookie WR’s were. Here’s some stat lines for example:

Calvin Ridley: 64 catches, 821 yards, 10 touchdowns

DJ Moore: 55 catches, 788 yards, 2 touchdowns

Anthony Miller: 33 catches, 413 yards, 7 touchdowns

Other 2018 rookie WR’s that had good games include Dante Pettis, Christian Kirk, and Keke Coutee. Don’t be afraid of drafting rookie WR’s in good spots.
