1. Geronimo Allison will go over 1,000 yards receiving

There’s no question that Davante Adams is this team’s No. 1 wide receiver. He’s a safe bet to lead the Packers in catches and yards again in 2019. That doesn’t mean Green Bay’s offense can’t produce two elite wide receivers.

Allison is the other guy in this receiving corps with star potential. Injuries limited him to just 20 catches for 303 yards and two touchdowns in 2018, but he should be a full participant in training camp. If he can claw his way to the starting spot opposite Adams, he’s got the athleticism to electrify fans at Lambeau.

Obviously there are a couple of guys who could reduce Allison’s role. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown also have their sites set on a starting role in this offense. Expect a heated preseason battle between this trio of talented, but unproven wide receivers.

Allison’s ability to make explosive plays after the catch should give him a big edge over Scantling and St. Brown. Some might think he’s better suited to play in the slot, but that undersells his route running ability. Allison has a chance to be one of the biggest breakout stars in the NFL this season. His ascendancy could be a huge key for the Packers’ Super Bowl hopes.
