DraftKings PGA: 2019 John Deere Classic Values

Vaughn Taylor 7,700

Vaughn Taylor sets up perfectly in almost every stat that I am looking at. The only thing that he does not do well is 3 putt avoidance, which has shown to correlate well with success at this event. I will be heavily overweight on Taylor, despite the fact that he will be heavily owned this week. I cannot fade a guy rating 7th in my model with 6 consecutive made cuts with 3 top-20’s.

Danny Lee 7,600

This is my low-ownership play of the week. The guy has excellent course history, so he will not go completely under-the-radar. That being said, he is projected at around 5% this week. Lee ranks 9th in my model. He strikes the ball well, he scores well in DK, he is 1st in the field in par-3 efficiency, 7th in the field in BOB gained. I will take my chances on a way-too-cheap Danny Lee.

Roger Sloan 7,100

I will admit, I would not have been able to pick Roger Sloan out of a lineup before watching the 3M Open last week. I was really impressed at his composure and his game down the stretch on Saturday. The guy strikes the ball pure and he has had success at this event. $7,100 is a steal for a guy who appears to be trending. He ranks in the top-10 in the field in wedge proximity, BOB, and opportunities gained.
