8. Tua Tagovailoa

After coming off the bench in the biggest college football game of the season to bring their team back from an enormous deficit to claim the sport’s biggest prize, it was difficult to leave Tua Tagovailoa off this list.

Hampered by an ankle injury throughout this past season, the young quarterback hung in and dealt with the pain through several important games for the Tide. The left-handed quarterback has a knack for scrambling outside the pocket and making big plays happen down the field with his incredible arm talent.

Tua put on a passing clinic this past season while missing portions of games due to the blowout factor. The sophomore posted 43 touchdowns on the season with only 6 interceptions for a rating of about 199.

One of the most prolific dual-threat quarterbacks in the game today, Tagovailoa can hurt the defense by extending plays with his legs and opening up passing lanes down the field. The projected No.1 overall pick in next year’s draft according to analysts, it is easy to see why his game projects to the next level.

Alabama’s offense back in NCAA 14 was arguably the second most effective in the game behind the Oregon Ducks’ read option offense. Replacing AJ McCarron in that offense in a new game would be complete annihilation of any opponent daring to challenge.
