Fantasy Football Rankings: QB Strength of schedule

Andrew Luck (4) With the 4th easiest SOS, Luck is a near-lock to finish the season as a top-3 fantasy QB. If we’re being honest, with this easy schedule, I can’t name one flaw in Luck’s 2019 outlook. While he has the 4th best SOS this year, Luck had the 22nd ranked SOS last year and still balled out.

He still has one of the best offensive lines in football and now has a full display of weapons around him. He now has a healthy Jack Doyle which was Luck’s safety blanket in the past.

On top of that, the Colts added red-zone machine Devin Funchess which should be a great WR2 to complement field stretcher T.Y. Hilton. We can’t forget that they drafted Ohio State Alumni Parris Campbell who is a bonafide playmaker.

Russell Wilson (5)– It’s refreshing to see Wilson have this easy schedule because he is going to need it to be fantasy relevant in 2019. The Seattle Seahawks continue to be one of the biggest run-heavy teams in the NFL, but you can’t blame them due to their dominant duo of Chris Carson and second-year RB Rashad Penny.

Heading into 2019 I’m really not sold on Wilson due to his weapons of speedster Tyler Lockett, rookie D.K. Metcalf, and a mediocre receiving cast of Jaron Brown, David Moore, and TE Will Dissly. Wilson and company will have to make use of the easy start they have in the first month of the season, facing the Bengals, Steelers, Saints, and the Cardinals.

Jimmy Garoppolo (6) – Hopefully this can be the year we finally get to see a full season of Garoppolo at QB. He has the easiest first-month schedule-wise, playing the Buccaneers, Bengals, Steelers, and the Browns.

Garoppolo honestly has one of the more underrated groups around him if you think about it. He has an offensive-minded coach in Kyle Shanahan, a 3 headed monster at RB in Tevin Coleman, Jerick Mckinnon, and Matt Breida, and a young receiving core in Dante Pettis, Deebo Samuel, Jalen Hurd, Marquise Goodwin, and Jordan Matthews.

Oh, and how could I miss mentioning the TE monster of George Kittle. With Jimmy G now healthy, having an easy schedule, and a good amount of weapons, 2019 may be his breakout year.
