MLB DFS Pitching Primer: Rankings and Review

This is where I give you my final rankings for both cash games and GPPs. Remember, rankings for cash are based on safety, while rankings for GPP are based on their ceiling and point-per-dollar upside.

More from DFS

Remember on DK, I prefer to pay up for at least one high-priced pitcher in cash and on FanDuel I prefer to pay up in cash more often than not. I would definitely follow that strategy tonight by paying up for Morton in your cash games on FanDuel and making him your SP1 on Draftkings. If you feel confident enough in Sale or Boyd, then fire them up, too.

McKay is a no-brainer for me on the early slate, especially on FanDuel where he is cheap.

On DK, my preferred cash game pairing is going to be Morton-Miley while my favorite GPP pairing will probably be Boyd-Sale (while I desperately search for cheap stacks).

If you play mainly on FanDuel try not to spread your ownership out too much among different pitchers guys, otherwise, you are probably hurting your chances at winning a GPP by getting the right stack with the right pitcher.

I recently started running 150 lineups in the FanDuel quarter arcade to work on my MME strategy and even with that many lineups I still only use 3-4 pitchers on most nights. For all your low rollers, they just introduced a nickel arcade on FanDuel! For 7.50 you can run 150 lineups and work on refining your MME process!
