FanDuel MLB – Top Second Basemen

Top Play: Max Muncy | LAD | $3,800

I’ll continue the theme here of targetting left-handed hitters against Zach Eflin, and Muncy is up there with Cody Bellinger as the top overall LAD lefty to target.

On the season, he’s posted a 0.388 wOBA 0.276 ISO against righties this season with a 44.9% hard-contact rate, which should wreak havoc on Eflin and his 0.280 ISO allowed to LHH this season.

Value Play: David Fletcher | LAA | $2,900

While Fletcher’s overall numbers on the season are really nothing to write home about (0.299 wOBA against lefties), the fact that he’s still so cheap while he’s been red hot out of the leadoff role will make him a popular option in cash games.

He’s posted 10 hits in his last 5 games while topping 21 FDP in 3 of those 5 with 3 doubles as well. His matchup, Framber Valdez, has allowed a 0.342 wOBA to righties with a 40.8% hard-contact rate. I would recommend dipping below $3k at the 2B position in cash games, with Fletcher being my top option.

Honorable Mention(s): Jose Altuve, Jason Kipnis, Brock Holt
