Question 4: Submitted by Mark Conway: What Fantasy Football later round (Round 9+) sleeper at the WR or RB position, are you willing to reach for in Dynasty?

Answer: Thanks for the question and before I explain my answer, here are some honorable mentions: Curtis Samuel, Michael Gallup, and Alexander Mattison.

The real answer here for me is Green Bay Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The 2nd year WR from USF is currently going as the WR53 in dynasty leagues, and has been going in the 11-12th rounds in 12-man dynasty leagues.

I like to target cheap pieces in high-scoring offense and MVS is just that. We’ve seen it over the years, Aaron Rodgers can support multiple WR’s when it comes to fantasy relevance. If he would have started all 16 games in 2018, his 16 game pace would have put him at around 61 receptions for 921 receiving yards.

If you haven’t seen Valdes-Scantling’s tape, go take a look and you will notice that he has exceptional speed, size, and athleticism. He is 6’4″ and he weighs 205. My favorite part of his game is his elite separation. Valdes-Scantling created separation 70.3%, ranking third in the league for WR’s with 50+ targets.

We have seen reports throughout OTA’s that MVS has “leaped” Geronimo Allison from 2 WR sets, which can only mean one thing, BREAKOUT SEASON! QB Aaron Rodgers has praised MVS saying “the sophomore has had a fantastic spring” and elite wide out Davante Adams said that “the new scheme is really catered to guys like MVS and I”.

I don’t know about you guys but seeing praise from Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams go a long way for me, especially when this time last season, Rodgers was dogging all 3 rookies MVS, Equanimeous St. Brown, and J’Mon Moore for not being good enough. Lastly, MVS has went on and said that he’s been working out with HOF WR Randy Moss 3-4 times a week.

OK, I’m in, sign me up. That’s all I needed to hear. You got a 2nd year WR starting for Aaron Rodgers, wont see double teams thanks to Davante Adams, and is working out with Randy Moss? What more could you want?
