Daily Fantasy Golf: FanDuel PGA – Mid Tier Picks ($10,000-$11,000)

Adam Scott – $10,500 – (Cash)

My hope with Scott this week is that everybody simply forgets about him, as he has only played three times in the last three months. I know that isn’t likely to happen, but Scott is priced at the perfect point to anchor my cash teams, and even though he been playing pretty selectively in 2019, it seems to be working very well for him. On top of that, Scott has made the cut in nine straight Open Championships, and he simply has been the model of consistency I look for when building my cash game lineup.

Scott comes into Royal Portrush off of a T-7 in his last action at the U.S. Open, and he was in the mix at the PGA Championship as well with a T-8 finish. He played just one event in between and finished alone in second place at the Memorial Tournament, two strokes behind champion Patrick Cantlay.

I am a little worried about him being rusty here, but what he has been doing in 2019 as far as his schedule goes seems to have kept him fresh and motivated, and my guess is that he is gearing for a run at the FedEx Cup as well.

Henrik Stenson – $10,100 – (Cash)

There was a point early in 2019 where it looked like Stenson was nearing the end of his ability to be a threat to win every time he stepped foot on a golf course. He started the year with three consecutive missed cuts on the European Tour, and went all the way through May notching just two finishes of top-20 or better, with the best being his T-17 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Stenson has now made nine straight cuts, and after his T-37 at the Memorial Tournament, something seriously clicked for the 43-year-old Swede. He started a current run of three straight top-tens with a T-8 RBC Canadian Open, which he followed up with a T-9 at the U.S. Open. In his last action, Stenson was terrific tee-to-green, and four solid rounds led to a T-4 finish at the Scottish Open.

It is obvious the form coming in for Stenson is as good as it has been in quite some time, and being right around the average salary seems a bit low. I may have still locked him in my cash lineup at up to $10,600 this week, so this is, by all means, a cash lock in my opinion, and I will have plenty of exposure in GPP as well. Stenson won the 145th Open Championship at Royal Troon for his only major championship victory, and his recent play leads me to believe he is going to give it all he has to get number two this week.
