DraftKings PGA: 2019 British Open Picks and Analysis
DraftKings PGA: 2019 British Open Values
Rafa Cabrera Bello 7,500
The last time a professional event was played at Royal Portrush, RCB finished 2nd. He is also in crazy good form, with a T3, T4 and T9 in his last 3 events (all played overseas on links courses). The guy does everything you want a 7K golfer to do. I think he will be popular, but I cannot fade the Spaniard this week. The price and form combo is nails. He has been solid at the British Open, making 4 consecutive cuts with a T4 in 2017.

Patrick Reed 7,400
Reed is criminally underpriced this week in DraftKings and in the betting market. I think that his win share is much higher than 100-125 to 1. Reed has played rather well since his T32 at the US Open. He has three straight top-30 finishes, gaining strokes in every aspect except putting. His approach game and off the tee game is rounding into form, and Reed has the ideal ball-flight for these conditions. Love the form and price for Patty. Reed was T28 at The Open last year and has 2 top-20’s and 2 MC his last 5 years at the British Open.
Putnam is one of my favorite DraftKings plays on the PGA Tour. He frequently goes overlooked and he gets super hot when his game is on. His game is on right now! The veteran finished T4 at the Scottish Open with a final round 64. Putnam has not missed a cut since April and he just keeps on churning out solid finishes despite a price-tag that hovers around 7K. In this stacked field, Putnam is only $6,600 and I will gobble that up. Over his last 24 rounds, Putnam is 18th in SG Approach and 6th in SG Putting. Golfers who excel at both usually finish near the top of the leader-board.
