FanDuel MLB: Top Hitting Stacks Main Slate
Nick Pivetta is giving up over two home runs per nine innings. He’s also facing a bunch of sluggers from the Dodgers lineup on a hot evening in a hitter-friendly ballpark. So, it’s going to be a popular play, but stacking the Dodgers makes a ton of sense for the Main slate.
However, one caveat, keep an eye on the weather if you go this route. There is a decent chance this game is disrupted by weather on Wednesday evening. Fortunately, there are plenty of other exciting options for this slate.
The White Sox Ivan Nova, Ranges Jesse Chavez, and Angels Felix Pena are each giving up between 1.5 and two home runs per nine innings this season. The each have an xFIP of well over 4.00 (not great), and while Chavez has had some decent outings, Nova has been getting crushed all season and Pena has been very inconsistent.
That bodes well for Diamondbacks, Astros, and yes…even Royals stacks! The Royals may not seem like a great offensive stacking play as their offense has struggled this season. But, with the right match-ups, their lower ownership and high value can help you crush other MLB DFS players.
Sneaky KC plays like Bubba Starling ($2,300) and Cheslor Cuthbert ($2,500) could yield six to 12 points while giving us back plenty of salary to pick more expensive options like red-hot Hunter Dozier ($3,500).
The value plays from the Royals also makes the more expensive D-backs in hot Arlington, Texas, affordable. Nick Ahmed ($2,800) has been hot, too, and is affordable. Along with a value play from Jarrod Dyson ($2,700), we can afford big bat plays from Eduardo Escobar ($3,700) and Ketel Marte ($3,700).
The Astros are quite expensive in Anaheim against Chavez and the Angels. But with the right mix of value plays, you should be able to use $4.2K or less of your salary to snag a top Stros bat like Alex Bregman ($4,100). Any combination of these three teams should yield great results, but they also work if you’re confident the Dodgers won’t be impacted by the weather.
