MLB DFS Pitching Plays – Top Values

Kenta Maeda – FanDuel still has yet to adjust the price on Maeda above 7.5 K. Philly has a high strikeout rate, around 25%, but they hit a lot of FB. Maeda has a 29% K rate against RHH, which he will see at least six of them today. The GB rate goes down to 35%, but he only has a 26% HC rate. Jay Bruce also left yesterday’s game early with an injury, which helps Maeda more than you realize.

Pitch Mix – He uses the slider 50% of the time, then the fastball, very rarely throwing his change, and sinker. The slider gets 40% whiffs, and Philly has high whiffs against the slider, with a good bit of GB as well. The fastball has seen a rise in GB all the way up to 75% most recently. Kenta is a great value for those who like to load up on high priced bats.

On a smaller slate, we sometimes have to get a little creative, especially in GPP’s. You can use this article to build multiple lineups, around a few pitchers you might like more than others.
