Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – FanDuel

1B – Eric Thames – Milwaukee Brewers – $2,700

Moving on to FanDuel, we have our typical case of them not pricing up certain players no matter well they play until they do it for like two weeks straight. They finally got Keston Hiura somewhat right, but Thames is still way underpriced here. Since I love to make comparisons from site to site. Thames is way out of play on Fantasy Draft at $9,300 unless you are going full Brewers six-man stack then maybe, and that’s a strong maybe.

Over on DraftKings, Thames is up to $4,500, and I think there is better value at the position elsewhere. He came out of the break going 5-for-8 in two starts against the Giants, but played very minimally in the last set with the Braves. Thames only got one start in the series as the Brew Brew faced Max Fried and Dallas Keuchel, and he was pulled early after an 0-for-2 in his lone start after a pitching change. I think Thames is a great value cash play tonight, and there is no other pitcher I want to roster besides Trevor Bauer so we will certainly need our value here.

OF – Tyler O’Neill – St. Louis Cardinals – $2,500

More of the same with bad pricing and more likely cash game chalk for us to get Bauer in, but streaky hitting is definitely a thing in baseball, and O’Neill has been mashing as of late. The 24-year-old was starting to heat up heading into the break and turned it up a notch even more out of after. Since the break, O’Neill is 10-for-20 with four home runs and 11 RBI’s in just six games. The Cards will face Tanner Roark in a good hitters park in Cincinnati, and this price point is pretty important.

With Thames, O’Neill, and one of my across the board plays today, that will give you three likely chalk cash plays under $2,800, as I assume Bauer will be around 70% owned in cash here on FanDuel as well. If you add a mispriced Jake Lamb at $2,600 to that mix as well, fitting in at least two stud bats with Bauer tonight will not be a problem.
