FanDuel MLB: Top Hitting Stacks Early Only
Before we get to the more obvious stack, as noted in our pitcher for this page, let’s talk about the less obvious one, giving us the best value. Once again, not only do I like the Marlins pitching today, which surprises me, but I also like their offense.
Dinelson Lamet may have a very high 32.6% K-rate, but he’s also giving up 2.7 home runs per nine innings. Lamet’s 9.3% walk rate is dangerously high, considering his home run rate, but he’s also holding a disgusting 6.3 ERA.
Meanwhile, the Marlins have hot hitters like Miguel Rojas ($2,700) likely leading off, Starlin Castro ($2,500) showing glimpses of heating up in the clean-up spot, and rookie Garrett Cooper ($3,100) arguably developing into one of the best hitters on the team. Sophomore third baseman Brian Anderson ($2,800) is also an incredible value.
Given we saved some money with a great play at pitcher, and we now have a great value stack with the Marlins, I’m likely going to find one more value piece so I can stack the Red Sox.
Bubba Starling ($2,300) may not be a sexy offensive play for FanDuel MLB, but the rookie Royals outfielder likely bats, righty, against left-handed Ross Detwiler this afternoon, and Starling has a hit or walk in all five games he’s play this season. I’m willing to pay this low of a price for a solid six to nine points.
That additional cheap play also allows us to plug in a three-headed BoSox offensive monster in our lineup, with J.D. Martinez ($4,000), Mookie Betts ($4,400), and Xander Bogaerts ($4,500).
Like the Marlins, the Red Sox are facing a starting pitcher, Thomas Pannone, who’s giving up a massive amount of runs this season. These three could produce numbers similar to some of our D-Backs plays from last night.
