FanDuel MLB – Top Second Basemen

Top Play: Keston Hiura | MIL | $3,800

There may not be a hotter hitter in all of baseball than the Milwaukee Rookie, who’s recorded at least 2 hits in 5 of his last 6 games, going 14-23 in that span with 7 RBIs and 6 XBHs.

On the season, he’s posted a 0.422 wOBA and 0.303 ISO against righties and squares off with Taylor Clarke, who’s allowed a 0.402 wOBA, 0.293 ISO and 39.0% hard-contact rate to righties this season.

I don’t expect many to look his way regardless of how hot he is due to still having an unfamiliar name, but he’s one of my favorite GPP plays on the slate and cash viable if you have the salary.

Value Play: David Fletcher | LAA | $2,700

I see no way that I don’t lock in Fletcher in cash, as he’s been red hot out of the leadoff spot and his price has been stagnant. He’s recorded at least 12.2 FDP in 5 of his last 7 games with 4 XBHs and 6 runs in that span.

He also gets to face off with Mike Leake, who faced the Angels on 7/12 and lasted 0.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 ER. On top of that, he’s allowed a 0.350 wOBA to righties on the season and has already allowed 24 total long-balls, 14 of which have been to RHH.

Honorable Mention(s): Eduardo Escobar, Max Muncy, Gleyber Torres
