Fantasy Football Rankings: RB Strength Of Schedule
13. Cleveland Browns– Nick Chubb is going to be excited seeing that he went from an 18th ranked SOS in 2018, to the 13th rank SOS in 2019. Starting out the season against the Titans and the Jets, he’s going to be off to a fast start. The middle of the season schedule is off and on when it comes to matchups. The semi’s and finals are actually what hurts the Browns SOS rank with matchups against the Cardinals and Ravens in week 15 and 16. Chubb should be viewed as a high-end RB2 going forward. Once again, don’t draft Kareem Hunt. Even with the 13th rank SOS, Hunt is missing half of the season and isn’t worth the bench spot. Let someone else deal with him.
14. Buffalo Bills– We won’t be here long because no one is really interested in LeSean Mccoy, Frank Gore, TJ Yeldon, and Devin Singletary. The Bills had the 15th rank SOS last year so this is a similar spot. I actually like this schedule when looking at it. You got the Jets and Giants early on in the season, and teams like the Steelers and Patriots in the fantasy playoffs. The problem is, if you made it to the fantasy playoffs, it’s highly unlikely that you’re starting a Bills RB under such important circumstances.
15. New York Giants– I know at first glance you see that Saquon Barkley has the 15th ranked SOS and you’re not impressed but you should be! Barkley exploded as a rookie last year and had the 31st ranked SOS, the 2nd hardest schedule for all running backs. This means entering 2019, you already know he’s perfectly content with the 15th ranked SOS. Weeks 2-4, he gets the Bills, Buccaneers, and Redskins, but it’s just as juicy in the fantasy playoffs. In week 15 and 16, Barkley gets to matchup against the Dolphins and the Redskins. Seeing this schedule makes you feel a lot better about Barkley heading into 2019.
