Helmet stickers are a fun way to present a resume of one’s accomplishments in college football. Few programs are more recognizable for their incorporation of helmet stickers as an integral part of their uniform than Ohio State, where silver buckets are adorned with buckeye stickers in reward of achievements on the gridiron.

It is a tradition that originated in Ohio at Miami University and that has lived more than a half-century at this point in Columbus. Coupled with the scarlet and gray of the school colors, it provides a simple yet instantly recognizable look that at once fits right in with the understated elegance of many Big Ten ensembles while also setting the Buckeyes apart from the rest of their conference brethren.

Ohio State has had some fun in recent years with alternate uniform combinations. In many of those combinations, they have embraced the gray that is a staple of the school colors, going with varying shades and incorporating it as a more primary and sometimes solitary color in their uniform schemes.

For the most part, though, Ohio State keeps things relatively traditional. They are a powerhouse that has struck a great balance between their classic look and shaking things up just enough to keep recruits interested in how they might look in various Buckeyes combinations.
