BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – JULY 16: Juan Soto #22 of the Washington Nationals flips his bat after hitting a solo home run in the sixth inning against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on July 16, 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland. (Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images) /

DraftKings MLB one-off plays:

The Rockies are using Lambert here, but I’m still not all that excited about Nationals bats. Lambert has been really good on the road. I love Juan Soto. Adam Eaton in a solid punt. Beyond that, I don’t know that Turner and Rendon are worth the price. There are others at their respective positions that I would rather use for the price.

Even if Strasburg starts this game, I wont be using him. On a full slate, there’s no reason to reach for a lesser option with all of the aces up there. The Rockies are hitting .260 off of him. Arenado has homered twice off of Strasburg. Blackmon is 7-17 with a homer. Those are the only two we would consider anyway. However, if Fedde starts, you can go a little heavier on Rockies.

More from DraftKings

Kolten Wong and Tyler O’Neill have the Cardinals homers against Chris Archer, but I don’t know that I want to use either of them. Maybe O’Neill, but that’s about it. Yairo Munoz is a strong punt play with the way he’s hitting though.

Freddy Galvis and Justin Smoak are the only Jays to really have any success against Bauer. If you are from the camp that thinks Bauer is going to struggle in Toronto again, those are the Jays you want to start with.

The only Ray I am even considering against Chris Sale is Yandy Diaz. Yandy is 4-6 with three RBI against Sale already. Willy Adames has the only other RBI on a solo homer, but it’s his only hit in six tries.

The Red Sox have not hit a home run against Yonny Chirinos in 66 at bats so far, so I’m not sure how many chips you want to put in this kitty. Devers and Xander maybe, but only to differentiate. I think the Sox may be popular tonight, so I find myself wanting to avoid this entirely and use Yonny more than one off Sox.

No Tigers for me, thanks. They have been dreadful against right handed pitching. If you made me choose one dart, it would be Christin Stewart.

Jeff McNeil had two of the three Met hits against Paddack, for whatever that’s worth.

Keuchel has been pretty good in Atlanta. Cheslor Cuthbert is the only Royal to homer off of Keuchel, and he has done it twice. That makes him an intriguing lesser play. Jorge Soler and his light tower power are worth a look too.

I’m not even sure I want to mess with the Marlins anywhere right now. They flat out can’t hit on the road. Jorge Alfaro is my only interest here, and it’s only because catcher is really weak unless you are willing to pay top dollar.

Matt Chapman and Khris Davis have the homers against Miley, but once again, it’s Jurickson Profar who has the better overall numbers despite not having gone yard. There’s no way I’m playing Davis here, so it’s Chapman or Profar if I must take a shot at Miley. I don’t feel the urge given his home ERA though.

Santander and Dwight Smith Jr. are decent punts, but they aren’t much cheaper than anyone else, and I don’t know that the upside is all that big. I will likely leave the O’s completely alone tonight.

Albert Almora is the reason we have one offs. He went 2-3 with a homer in his only career game against MadBum. The rest of the Cubs have been so bad against Bumgarner, that I want no part of them.
