6 Fantasy Football Sleeper Wide Receivers To Target Late In Drafts

Trey Quinn, Washington Redskins

Take a minute and try and name three wide receivers on the Washington Redskins. Not such an easy task, is it? With the departure of Jameson Crowder and Maruice Harris, the Redskins are a bit shaky at wide receiver position.

So you’re probably thinking to yourself, who in the world in Trey Quinn? Well, he was a 7th round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Not only was he a 7th rounder, he was also “Mr. Irrelevant”, the very last pick in the draft. Quinn spent his first two seasons at LSU, before finally breaking out in 2017 after transferring to SMU. He went on to lead the nation with 114 receptions and was one of just three wideouts in the nation with 100+ receptions.

According to NBC Sports Washington, coach Jay Gruden stated that “Trey Quinn has taken over the inside slot role.” In limited work last season, Quinn still proved his worth, catching nine of 10 targets in just three games of action. Using FantasyData’s Advanced Efficiency Metrics, Quinn had the highest target separation of any receiver in the league (with 10 or more targets). It’s a small sample size, but Quinn made the most of his targets as a rookie and should see much more work in 2019.

Both Redskins’ receivers, Paul Richardson (WR72) and Josh Doctson (WR75), are being drafted ahead of Quinn (WR83). Though he is currently going undrafted in a majority of drafts, but is a player to keep an eye on heading into the season. He is a real threat to lead the Redskins in both targets, and receptions.
