1.12 – Devin Singletary (RB – Buffalo Bills)

This is the only spot there was truly some debate at. ADP suggests Miles Sanders should be the pick. However, he looks to be stuck in a committee for at least one, if not two years. And if you watch his tape, as exciting as his Saquon wanna be style is, he may be a career committee back.

Justice Hill seems to have landed in an exciting situation but is another back that is at least two years away from even thinking about having anything close to a workhorse role. It is true that he is playing with Mark Ingram, but he is not close to the talent than Alvin Kamara was coming out of Tennessee.

He will be the dash to Ingram’s smash, and not the Kamara to Ingram’s ‘Ingram’. Devin Singletary of the Buffalo Bills appears to have a feature back job waiting for him in 2020. Playing behind LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore will undoubtedly give the rookie back plenty of opportunities to learn from backs who played at a Hall of Fame level for portions of their careers.

An elusive back with LeSean McCoy like patience, Singletary will be able to make a seamless position to the starting role. Number two in broken tackles and broken tackle percentage in 2018, he has excellent open-field ability. He has the hands to assume an every down role and could become a PPR star as soon as 2020. Providing the Bills do not add an early day pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Singeltary should settle into a RB2 role next season.
