Webster’s Dictionary defines ‘Imperium’ as absolute power

Seems it probably would have been better to save that whole “where does NXT UK go from here” treatise for this week, but what can you do. Yes, WALTER defeats Trent Seven via referee stoppage after too many powerbombs, while refusing to go for a pin. In doing such, he destroyed the last vestiges of British Strong Style, firmly planting NXT UK into the Age of Imperium. Fittingly enough, he does so on the 53rd episode of NXT UK, the official start of year two of the weekly television show.

It’ll be interesting to see just how large Imperium’s dominance looms over the brand. WALTER’s superiority is a given, but can Aichner and Barthel hold down the spot of top tag team? Is Alexander Wolfe bound to hold a secondary singles championship that doesn’t exist yet? Is there any way we can get Imperium vs. Undisputed Era in a WarGames match at the next TakeOver of the same name?

In terms of how long this run atop the brand will last, it’s hard to judge. All that can be said for sure is that something incredibly big and strong is going to have to come around to bring down WALTER and loosen Imperium’s stranglehold on NXT UK.
