FanDuel MLB DFS Breakdown 7/29: LA Against the World
By Joe Metz
FanDuel MLB – Top Second Basemen
Top Play: Max Muncy | LAD | $4,400
I promise we’ll mix things up shortly, but Max Muncy is another Dodger that I cannot help but write up, especially in Coors Field. As previously mentioned, Gray has had his fair share of struggles at home against lefties, allowing a 42.3% hard-contact rate.
Muncy on the other hand, has smashed righties all season long. He’s posted a 0.399 wOBA, 0.288 ISO and a 43.7% hard-contact rate and comes into this matchup with a CXwOBA of 0.459. He’s up there with Cody Bellinger as the top Dodgers play on the slate.
Value Play: Brian Dozier | WAS | $2,400
I’ve mentioned it in previous articles, but Brian Dozier is experiencing quite the renaissance in his first full season with the Nationals, especially against lefties. He’s posted a 0.426 wOBA and 0.253 ISO against southpaws.
Dallas Keuchel hasn’t gotten blown up yet, but his 16.7% strikeout rate against righties and 36.4% hard contact rate show signs that the potential is there. He’s an elite ground-ball pitcher and all Dozier needs to do is get under one to take advantage. For $2,400, you can’t really go wrong here.
