Being the Elite is a weekly YouTube series that features The Elite and their friends to build AEW’s characters and storylines. New episodes posted every Monday.

In Episode 163 of Being in the Elite, we get a behind-the-scenes look at AEW taking over the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour on the day of the official TNT announcement. If you missed all the info related to AEW on TNT, catch up now. The TCAs are mostly for taking pictures and chatting about your show. It’s a pretty big deal for a wrestling company like AEW.

We get to see some fun footage such as Cody, black eye and all, helping Matt Jackson with his tie. The others are watching Jungle Boy having a photo shoot and seem impressed with him. Of course, there are photo-ops with the backdrop of TNT’s logo to drive home the point that All Elite Wrestling is actually going to be on national television. After all these months of speculation, it’s finally happening.

BTE cuts to some of the wrestlers watching the TNT promo in the green room before the video fully comes into view for us. The hype is real.

Next, Private Party are hanging out at an outdoor bar when they’re approached by the Young Bucks. Security immediately steps between the duos to tell them it’s a private party and they aren’t allowed. The Bucks are baffled and get hit with Superkicks in stereo. In a nod to past BTE episodes with Flip Gordon, they rub their faces and say they like that and want more. This whole segment is to promote their match at House of Glory.

The next segment is SCU talking to Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Following that is the recurring bit with Rick Knox preventing Christopher Daniels from entering the female talent locker room.

On this week’s installment of #BTEMailbag, we get three questions. Dr. Britt Baker begins reading a question asking if she ever got revenge for Adam Cole’s death, but she stops reading before getting to his name. She answers a question related to her recovery after the concussion she sustained at Fight for the Fallen. Baker is doing well and is waiting to be cleared to wrestle again. She’s unsure if she’ll have a match at All Out.

Christopher Daniels answers a question about him working at WaterWorld at Universal Studios. He says that he’s usually there on Wednesdays, but since it’s summer, you can find him there more often.

Prior to this week’s BTE, it was announced that Chris Jericho would answer one question after negotiations with his lawyers. Someone asked if Jericho was offered a contract via text. This question was poking fun at CM Punk’s comments. The Ayatollah of Rock N’ Rolla states that Tony Khan doesn’t have his number and had to reach him via his 800 number.

Jericho demanded a private flight to Atlantis where he would give Khan 10 minutes of his time. In that 10 minutes, Khan offered him a substantial amount of money along with full creative control of his character and AEW. All good things in AEW is because of him; the bad stuff isn’t, because he has a limited amount of time to give.

Following this, we get ticket information for the first live AEW show on TNT. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 2 at 12 PM ET on AEW’s website. They start at just $20.

The end of BTE is dedicated to to the Bucks and Brandon Cutler celebrating Nick’s birthday with a pool montage.
