DraftKings MLB one-off plays:

Carlos Correa hit a two run homer against Bieber earlier this year, but I don’t know that his timing is back yet. Due to this, I may not touch any Astros. Jose Altuve is always worth a look and maybe Yordan Alvarez, but beyond that, I’m not that interested. Not on a full slate anyway.

Morton’s track record against Boston is tried and true, so I’m not going after him. Benintendi has two homers off of him and Xander Bogaerts is 7-20 with a homer, so I may splash them here and there, but there are so many better places to spend that kind of money than going after an ace.

Tommy Pham, Avi Garcia, and Mike Zunino have the homers against David Price. I have no issues doing a couple of one offs throughout lineups with these guys, but I wont have more than one anywhere. This is looking like a really good outing for Price tonight.

More from DraftKings

Jake Odorizzi has not been at his best since Memorial Day, and the Marlins hit at home. Just ask Merrill Kelly. I expect a good outing for Odorizzi here, but not near what Price will do at a lower price. As for chasing Odorizzi, Harold Ramirez is probably my favorite target, but I’m not gung ho on any one player.

I like Zac Gallen, but I refuse to use pitchers against the Twins for a reason. The good news for Gallen chasers is that he has allowed just two homers in 29.1 innings this year. Nelson Cruz could change that, but I see no reason to really get after Gallen here. Aside from Kepler and Cruz, I don’t think anyone else homers off of him, and it seems silly to chase anything else.

Maybe the Reds are tired from last night. Gennett, Yasiel Puig and Eugenio Suarez have the homers against Joe Musgrove so far. All of them were prior to this year. I can see one offs with these guys, but I’m not actively chasing Musgrove. He’s due for a good outing.

Thor’s numbers are down across the board, but the homers aren’t really up. With an all or nothing team like the Sox, their potential isn’t all that great. I may throw Eloy Jimenez out there because of the massive power potential, but that’s about it. If Thor is moved, I want more White Sox exposure unless the Mets give Stroman his first start.

I like Robinson Cano for the price against Lopez, and Pete Alonso is always worth a look, but I don’t want much exposure. Lopez has been filthy lately, and has only allowed one homer in the last three starts. There are better places to look tonight.

Willson Contreras has homered twice off of Wainwright, but is just 3-17 overall. Bryant, Rizzo, and Heyward have also tagged Wainwright for homers, but how much do you really want to go after Wainwright’s home dominance, especially for the prices on those guys?

Something called a Pannone did well against the Royals last night, so chasing homers with these guys is often an effort in futility. I don’t like Reid-Foley enough to chase him, but I don’t want a lot for the Royals here either. Hunter Dozier and Jorge Soler for the power potential is about as deep as I’ll go.

Chris Bassitt is way too expensive. The Brewers are struggling a bit, but not that much. Christian Yelich and Keston Hiura are the only ones worth using. They’re worth paying up for.

Just your friendly public service announcement. You don’t have to play Tigers. Miggy is interesting though. That ball he hit last night looked like vintage Miggy, and he’s cheaper than a dozen guys that aren’t even in the majors.
