Fantasy Football Sleepers and Values

Yes, Evan Engram is a value. The reason I say this is because once the top tight ends are gone, people end up criminally undervaluing the next tier in my opinion. The top tight ends to be drafted are going to be Kelce, Ertz, and Kittle (and rightfully so). Despite Ertz winning me a fortune last year, I’m kind of low on him for a number of reasons but with the retirement of Gronk, the tight end position is more open than ever before after the top 2-3 guys. Engram is being drafted as the 5th or 6th tight end as of right now. That’s not how we’re considering value though. Tight end is a position you can really have an advantage over your opponent on a weekly basis.

I said it in another article but seriously, how often are guys just adding and dropping from the waiver wire to fill in their tight end spot? Assuming Engram stays healthy, you would have a clear advantage over just about anyone else in your league aside from the Kelce and Kittle owners DESPITE Eli being his quarterback. Engram is going at some point in the 6th round and I think that’s a great value at his current ADP. The later in the 6th (or after) you can snag him, the better.

Here is why – he’s an athletic freak who is an offense with Tate fighting a short suspension, Sterling Shepard with a fractured thumb, and Odell Beckham Jr leaving a whopping 124 targets on the table from last year. If Engram falls to you in the 6th or later…DRAFT HIM! Thank me later.
