3 reasons why the New York Jets are playoff bound
2. Star Talent
For the first time in a while, the Jets actually have a good amount of star talent on their roster. The Jets certainly were not afraid of make some big moves this offseason. It started by drafting Quinnen Williams out of Alabama, signing one of the best running backs in the league in Le’Veon Bell, and inking star linebacker C.J. Mosley. Add those three new players with the talent that they already have and the Jets roster is looking pretty good.
Let’s not forget that the Jets still have players like Jamal Adams, Leonard Williams, and Avery Williamson on the roster. The excuse that the Jets’ roster is not good enough isn’t really there anymore. Is it the best roster in the league? No. But, barring any injuries, it is a roster that should be able to compete against every team in the league, and have a chance to win every single week.
While they may have star talent, the one thing that could be worrisome for the Jets is how everything meshes together. If Gase allows some of his star players to be themselves, and embrace the attitude that some of these players might have, things will probably work out just fine.
Putting that all aside, the Jets are more than ready to compete for a playoff spot. With talent on both sides of the team, the Jets could find themselves playing football in January.
