PGA FanDuel Picks – Value Picks: (Below $9,000)

Roger Sloan – $7,900 – (Cash)

I am officially late to the party I will admit, as I did see a few others in the industry on Roger Sloan back when he T-10 at the John Deere Classic, but I am here now, and all I can think here is seriously under $8K FanDuel?

Before that T-10 finish, Sloan notched a T-21 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and followed it up with a T-15 at the 3M Open. He skipped the Barbasol Championship but was back in action last week at the Barracuda Championship where he was impressive once again and T-7.

So what makes Sloan more or less cash safe than anyone who has missed a cut in their last four events? Not a whole lot in my opinion. The thing I like most about Sloan here is that over this hot streak going back to the end of the June and covering four events, is the fact that in 16 rounds of golf, his worst score is 2-under par which he has done four times. This is consistent for a pretty long stretch, and I have no problem playing Sloan in cash this week to help me roster two golfers over $11K with ease.

Charlie Danielson – $7,100 – (Cash)

Speaking of rostering golfers over $11K with ease this week, let’s just make it three? I am highest on Simpson and Morikawa, but I also have room for Patrick Reed or Viktor Hovland if I feel like taking a chance on the 25-year-old Charlie Danielson, who is on an impressive run while playing most of his young career on the Mackenzie Tour, or PGA Tour Canada.

Danielson took back-to-back top-tens on PGA Tour Canada into the U.S. Open, where he did not play too bad for his first major championship, as he finished T-58. He has since earned a couple of starts on the PGA Tour, in which he turned into a T-15 at the inaugural 3M Open, and a T-7 at the Barracuda Championship last week.

It’s a risky play without a doubt, but Danielson has not missed a cut on any tour that I can find going back to 2017. If I can get four rounds out of him at near minimum price when I have questions on golfers priced as high as $10,900 this week, I will take it. Give me all the Sloan and Danielson this week and I will either see you at the top or the bottom.
