WWE SmackDown Live preview, July 30: Watch online
Here’s all the information you need for the July 30, 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown Live.
With WWE SummerSlam just a couple of weeks away, SmackDown Live heads to Memphis for a big night of Tuesday night action.
With the blue brand being in Memphis, they’re also in the hometown of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler. And what would a two-hour live WWE show be without the return of The King’s Court? Lawler dusts off his former weekly segment and welcomes a fellow Hall of Fame inductee in Trish Stratus! What will happen when The King gets a little Stratusfaction in Memphis?
Last week, Dolph Ziggler shocked the WWE Universe when he delivered a superkick to the legendary “Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. Since then, several members of the locker room have been begging to get their hands on The Show Off. After Seth Rollins got a piece of him on Raw, now Finn Balor has stepped up for his shot at retribution for the iconic HBK. Can Balor teach Ziggler a little respect?
It’s been a rocky year, when it comes to The New Day and Kevin Owens. Several months back, Owens tricked The New Day into letting him become a member while Big E recovered from an injury. He would level Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and reveal it was all a ploy to get a shot at Kingston’s WWE Championship. Now Owens has seemingly had a real change of heart and has put his recent focus on ridding the WWE of Shane McMahon. And The New Day is in full support of this movement.
This week, Woods and Big E will face off against McMahon’s buddies Drew McIntyre and the musical loudmouth Elias. If McMahon is close by, then you can bet Owens will not be far behind. And Owens has made a habit of making life miserable for Shane-O-Mac lately, hitting him with a weekly supply of Stunners over the last month. Can Elias and McIntyre shut down the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, or will The New Day find a way to keep their momentum rolling?
