Slate Overview: Building around pitching tonight as I started earlier is the easier part but finding the cost-effective, high upside stacks is where the challenge lies.
The Mets are an interesting case as they are on the road, guaranteed 9th inning at-bats, get to add the DH and this 4.5 IRT actually seems pretty strong when you realize only the Phillies and Indians are over 5 here today and there are serious rain risks in Philly which could take that offense off the table
Assuming Lagares draws the start, he becomes the #FreeSquare punt and while I would not use him as a stand-alone play, he fits perfectly in a wrap-around Mets stack that gives you salary flexibility to grab two solid one-offs projected to lead-off for their clubs in Garcia and Choi.
Enjoy the slate, happy trade deadline day all – see you back here tomorrow!
