26. Nate Stanley, Iowa

Nate Stanley does not play as flashy as some of the nation’s other quarterbacks. He plays for a relatively quiet Iowa team in the Big Ten, who usually floats around the middle of the pack, behind Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State.

However, it does not take away from his overall play, which proved to be solid enough over the past two seasons to hold won the starting signal-caller job.

Stanley has thrown for over 5,200 yards combined these past two years, adding 52 touchdowns to 16 interceptions. The sub-60 percent completion mark is not ideal and hurts his value, but he has played like a solid ball-control quarterback when needed; he only threw two interceptions over the last five games of the 2018 season.

2019 is also Stanley’s senior season. He has the chance to take one last step forward, before potentially playing in the NFL by 2020. The 6-foot-4 frame is there, but it hinges on if he moves ahead with greater accuracy.

Stanley’s play can bring the Hawkeyes to another nine-win season. It may not be enough to make the Big Ten Championship Game, especially with a crowded field around them, but they are potentially in for another good season.
