23. Feleipe Franks, Florida

Feleipe Franks, once a prized recruit, will already enter his third full season starting, after redshirting as a true freshman in 2016. His career at Florida started difficultly, with just 1,438 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions in 2017. With a completion percentage of 54.6, it was a disappointing first year.

There was a slight turnaround in 2018, though, that offered a brighter outlook for the Gators starter. It took until halfway through the season, but he settled in with nine touchdowns and one interception over the final six games. A 9-for-22 passing blunder was sandwiched between, but he produced enough for Florida to win its final four games of the season, ending at a 10-3 record.

Franks finished with 24 touchdowns and just six interceptions, which also showed improvement and something to build on as a redshirt junior.

This positive development puts the Gators offense in its best state in years. They faced quarterback woes, for the most part, since Tim Tebow left in 2010, but now have someone to be confident in for 2019 and, if he returns, 2020.

It will make Florida a threat in the SEC. How far they go depends on what Alabama and Georgia do, but the outlook is bright for the player set to lead this team into the Swamp.
